My parents have put their home in trust for me in September, 2002. Additionally, the have provided me cash sums over the past 4 years. My father went into a nursing home 3/05 and past away 12/05. I helped get him Medicaid eligible via the laws present then.

My questions relate to my mother and if she has to go to a nursing home. How does this effect the spend downs we did for my fathers estate planning to me? Can we spend cash from my mother on the house and/or car to avoid paying toward a potential nursing home? Thanks.
