There is an Alzheimer's Association chapter in Pinellas Park that would give you a starting point. Also - USF has the Johnny Byrd Alzheimer's research foundation.

According to Karen Karle of Dementia Caregiver Resources Inc,

There are 4 major Alzheimer's medications that are currently available. Patient assistance programs may help pay for medications.

Aricept, by Pfizer & Eisai Inc, 800-226-2072

Exelon, by Novartis, 800-277-2254

Razadyne (formerly Reminyl) by Ortho-McNeil Neurologics, 800-526-7736

Memantine by Forest, 800-851-0758

Patient assistance programs include:

NEEDYMEDS.COM

PPARX.ORG (Partnership for Prescription Assistance)

The National Council on the Aging (202) 479-1200.

The Johnny Byrd Institute in Tampa is an excellent resource. Their site is http://www.byrdinstitute.com.
I hope this information is helpful to you.
