What prompted me to look on this site is my families upcoming decision to place my Grandmother in a nursing home. (She has not been diagnosed with Alzheimers...her diagnosis so far is dementia which I believe to be vascular dementia).
I do not agree with this decision at this point and am saddened. I always thought my family would be there for one another in this situation and am considering quitting my job and moving back to care for my Grandma 24/7. However, I know this is no easy task. Any suggestions/comments about what I'm getting myself into if I do this are welcome. Thanks!
